Come down. Drink a frosty beer while wearing shorts and a muscle shirt and fabricate a rustic A/C unit out of bark, badger droppings, a decaying deer carcass, and a paper clip you found in your pocket.
That's how men deal with the heat. (including MacGyver)
I am writing this on an old Etch-a-Sketch that I connected to the interweb with some fishing line, a nine-volt battery I bought at a gas station, and a discarded CB radio I picked up at a truck stop in Montana.
My small log cabin is cooled by the four windows that are kept open, even in the dead of winter, since I have not yet mastered the art of glass making. it keeps the family from getting too soft anyway. I was concerned the pillows Meg fashioned for us from the feathers of two geese I killed in November were spoiling us.

I am up for something. Camping sounds fun. What about a fishing trip? Eat what you catch??? Asheville, Boone area maybe??
Late summer would be best. To be honest the earliest we could decide on a date the better. Any suggestions?
Could it maybe be an Autumn Reunion? Because it is hot down there; I'm not sure if you realized that.
James' comment = Man Foul
I'm not taking that. Men have devoted themselves to staying cool for milenia. See: frosty beers, central AC, shorts/muscle shirts, Poar Bear Clubs.

looks like i will be able to make it. seeing as how we may be moving back to SC!
Let's do it! Lots of things going on these days with my new business and stuff, so as with Dave, the earlier we set a date the better.
...Randy, you wouldn't happen to be writing this in your air conditioned home, would you?

Well then I stand corrected. I hope you'll accept my humblest appologies.
Camping sounds awesome. My schedule at this point is loose so y'all with families/real lives figure out what works best for y'all.

do we want to talk about a simpler summer gathering and then a big trip this fall??
So what's the date we decided on?
